Persistence of Vision Film Festival is proud to present the Iris Programme, a series of short films created by third and fourth-year students at the UBC Film Production Program. This collection celebrates deeply personal stories that have been carried from around the world and brought together at UBC.

Irises are individual to each their own. The iris, shaped by our genetics and environments, comes in endless shades: black, brown, green, blue, hazel. Each one is unique, much like the way we see, interpret, and tell stories.

The Iris Programme honors these unique viewpoints. Through each filmmaker’s lens, we invites you to see the worlds they’ve come from, and their persistence of vision.
